B2 English level assessment

Candidates must be able to demonstrate an English level of B2 or higher:

If your English level was assessed by your university during your bachelor’s degree, you will need to upload your certificate. The certificate must clearly indicate the level you obtained.
If you obtained your bachelor's degree at the University of Trieste, you will not be required to upload anything.
If you hold one of the certificates in this list, upload it to the webpage linked in the section below (Assessment of requirements and initial proficiency)
If you do not have a certificate or if your certificate does not meet the requirements above, the University Language Centre (Centro Linguistico di Ateneo - CLA) shall assess your English level. Updated information on the assessment procedure will be available here in June.

Assessment of requirements and initial proficiency – Deadlines and procedure

There are two time slots for the assessment of your admission requirements and subsequent enrolment. The deadlines vary according to the date you obtained (or will obtain) your bachelor’s degree (or equivalent):

Round 1 – from 3^rd June 2024 to 15^th November 2024 for degrees obtained by 15^th November 2024.
Round 2 – from 7^th January 2025 to 14^th February 2025 for degrees obtained between 16^th November 2024 and 28^th March 2025.

The procedure is as follows:

Fill in the editable online form and save a copy as an Excel file.
The Admission Committee will assess whether you have the knowledge base and skills required for the course. This will be done in accordance with the Regulation on Educational Activities of this degree course.
Prepare the following documents in pdf format: a copy of your identity document, your academic curriculum (if you have one) and self-certification of your university degree with your academic transcript. If you are still an undergraduate, please attach an official list of the exams you have passed and those you still have to take.
Log in to the Online Academic Services. If you do not already have your credentials, you will have to register first.
In the ‘Home’ menu select ‘Admission test (competitive applications and master's degrees)’ [previously: ‘Admission test (restricted-access and master degrees)’], then search for your desired degree course and follow the step-by-step procedure, uploading all the required documents under ‘Attachments’.
Wait for an e-mail confirming your admission and then follow the instructions given in the section below (Enrolment).

Enrolment

The Admissions Office will verify that you meet all admission requirements and will send you a confirmation e-mail.

Enrolment deadlines 2024-2025:

Round 1 – from 3^rd June 2024 to 20^th December 2024 for degrees obtained by 15^th November 2024.
Round 2 – from 7^th January 2025 to 31^st March 2025 for degrees obtained between 16^th November 2024 and 28^th March 2025.

If you fail to enrol within these parameters, you will have to pay a late fee charge, as indicated in the Tax Notice (Avviso Tasse). After 31^st March 2025 you will not be able to enrol for this academic year.

Completion of enrolment:
After the Admissions Office has verified your documentation, you will receive confirmation via the personal e-mail account you used to register for enrolment. You will be able to see your student ID number when you log to the online Academic Services (Esse3). This may take a few days.
Within 48 hours of receiving this email you will be able to access the University's online services. Your institutional e-mail address and your MyUniTS App will also be activated within this time frame.
• Once your enrolment has been successfully finalised, remember to complete the compulsory video course on Health and Safety.

2023

Academic year 2023/2024

To enroll in the course you must have a Bachelor or university diploma (three years duration minimum), or equivalent title obtained abroad, recognised as eligible: if you have obtained abroad the required qualification to access your study course visit the webpage.

Before the enrollment verify the Entry requirements on website.

The requirements include knowledge of the English language at a minimum level of B2: if you already have a certificate, you will need to upload it in the online procedure for verifying the requirements, if you haven't acquired it yet, wait for the communications that will be published on the webpage.

Check personal requirements and preparation

fill out the format, which can be edited; then save your copy (in excel)
prepare the following files in pdf format: copy of your identity document, self-certification of your degree with the exams taken (if you have not yet graduated, attach your complete study plan, with exams passed and to be taken), English language certificate and the any curriculum vitae
enter the Online Services and Login (if you don't already have the credentials, the system will ask you to register)
in the Home Menu select Admission test (restricted-access and master degrees), then search for the course of study of your interest and follow the guided procedure, uploading the files to the "Attachments" page
carry out any proof of personal preparation with the commission (if required for your case and if you have not already done so)
wait for the admission confirmation e-mail and then do what is indicated in the Enrollment point.

Enrollment

Enrollment for the academic year 2023/2024:

- from 05/06/2023 to 05/10/2023 if you graduated by 05/10/2023
- from 06/10/2023 to 26/01/2024 if you graduated from 06/10/2023 to 26/01/2024
- from 27/01/2024 to 29/02/2024 (final deadline) if you graduated from 27/01/2024 to 31/03/2024

If you're going to graduate by 31/03/2024, you'll have to enroll online by 29/02/2024.

After the deadline you will be able to enroll - in any case no later than 29/02/2024 - with a subsequent charge of a late payment allowance, as established by the Tax Notice.

Conclusion of enrollment:

• after verifying the documentation, the Admissions Office will assign you your registration number, which will be sent to you via e-mail to your private mailbox.
Within 48 hours of this communication, the University's online services, your institutional e-mail box and the virtual badge will be activated (read the info)

• upon receipt of the registration number, follow the obligatory video course on safety

• fill out the anamnestic questionnaire (mandatory for attending courses and workshops)

2022

Academic Year 2022/2023

To enroll in the course you must have a Bachelor or university diploma (three years duration minimum), or equivalent title obtained abroad, recognised as eligible: if you have obtained abroad the required qualification to access your study course visit this webpage.

Before the enrolment verify the entry requirements on this webpage (also in english language).

Knowledge of the English language with a minimum level of B2 (European standard) is also required.

Enrollment

Enrollment for the academic year 2022/23:

- from 11/07/2022 to 6/10/2022 if you graduated by 6/10/2022
- from 7/10/2022 to 26/01/2023 if you graduated from 7/10/2022 to 26/01/2023
- from 27/01/2023 to 6/04/2023 if you graduated by 27/01/2023

The deadline is 6/04/2023.

After the deadline you will be able to enroll - in any case no later than 04/06/2023 - with a subsequent charge of a late payment allowance, as established by the Tax Notice.
