Entry Requirements

Admission to the Master's Course in Electrical Energy and Systems Engineering is subject to the possession of specific curricular requirements and adequate personal preparation. To access the Master's Degree Course in Electrical Energy and Systems Engineering, knowledge equivalent to that required by the general educational objectives of the Industrial Engineering Class degrees is required (Class 10 of Ministerial Decree 509/1999 and Class L-9 of Ministerial Decree 270/ 2004). Sufficient knowledge equivalent to that imparted in courses falling within the Scientific Disciplinary Sectors (SSD) indicated for the basic training activities and for the characterizing training activities foreseen within the aforementioned degree classes must be possessed. Within the characterizing training activities, specific knowledge must be possessed in the SSDs indicated for the disciplinary areas of Electrical Engineering and Automatic Engineering. Personal preparation must be appropriate to the approach and teaching methods necessary to achieve the training objectives set by this Master's Degree Course. The verification of personal preparation must also verify the ability to fluently use at least one European Union language in addition to Italian. The methods of this verification are defined in table A3.b as well as in the teaching regulations of the Course of Studies.

Mode:

The curricular admission requirements necessary to be able to profitably follow the training path foreseen by the Master's Degree Course in Electrical Energy and Systems Engineering are: 1) possession of a degree belonging to the following classes: Industrial Engineering cl. 10 (DM 509/99), Industrial Engineering L-9 (DM 270/04), Information Engineering cl. 9 (DM 509/99), Information Engineering L-8 (DM 270/04); 2) possession of at least 45 credits in the following scientific disciplinary sectors: - at least 36 credits acquired in the SSDs ING-IND/31, ING-IND/32, ING-IND/33, ING-INF/04, ING-INF/07 and - at least 9 credits acquired in the SSD ING-INF/04. The curricular requirements must be met before the personal preparation is verified. The verification of the admission requirements will be conducted by an appropriate commission whose composition is defined by the teaching regulations of the Course of Studies. In the event that the candidate does not present the expressed requirements, it is the commission's task to establish the methods for the prompt acquisition of the missing knowledge. The regulation also defines the criteria to be applied in the case of graduates in possession of a degree other than those indicated above or with inadequate curricular requirements and in the case of foreign students. Furthermore, the regulation may indicate a minimum score, obtained in the degree held, necessary for admission. In the event that the candidate presents a degree grade lower than the minimum of 90, the commission will subject the candidate to an interview aimed at evaluating the student's predisposition to verify his/her preparation. The commission then decides on the admission of the candidate to the master's course.
