Course Description

«Designing» (and researching) «is a bit like exploring, it is what can be defined as the adventure of thought». R. Piano

The MSc course in Civil Engineering at the University of Trieste is offered by the Department of Engineering and Architecture and provides an advanced preparation in the field of civil engineering, which integrates and enhances knowledge and skills already acquired with the BSc degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering.

The course (120 ECTS) is divided into three curricula: "Protection from seismic, hydraulic and environmental hazard", "Structures, design and building construction" and "Infrastructure, transport and land engineering", that depeen both the typical aspects of civil engineering (structural design, building technology, infrastructures and transports) and the environmental ones (hydraulics, hydraulic constructions, environmental resources, pollution, etc.).

Along the course, the student can spend a period abroad through the Erasmus+ program and can access, by selection, the honour college L. Fonda.

The course contributes to the achievement of Goals no. 9 (Enterprises, innovation and infrastructure) and no. 11 (Sustainable cities and communities) of the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development of the United Nations.
