Learning objectives

The investigated topics will be deepened and plotted, according to the structure proposed by the well-known "six degrees of separation" theory (graph theory). It will therefore be necessary to develop, from time to time, a free and meaningful - reasoned - investigation path starting from the term that gives title to the lesson (initial node), through the determination and articulation of the further (6) "nodes ”Necessary for the logical development of the proposed analytical path. The result obtained can thus be briefly represented by means of a graph, or "a pattern of relationships between discrete elements".

the prerequisites for this course are: having attended courses in the history of architecture and possessing notions of design theory

title of the 2020-2021 course:
Epimeleia, the conquest of the improbable dimension.

With the aim of facilitating their reading, the course of design theories, through the identification and study of some problematic complexes of contemporary architectural and artistic speculation, proposes an unprecedented recognition of the areas of reflection that guided at the time, and now characterize doing, thus sketching a path of knowledge an essential but exhaustive, useful cartography to direct the gaze north of the future, in the regions of an architecture capable of rediscovering the ancient flavor of human capacity to go further, to improve themselves, to the top of the impossible.
