Obiettivi formativi 

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: Know the main characteristics of the international agri-food markets. Know the main characteristics of the EU agricultural policy. Know the main characteristics of the international agreements concerning agri-food sector. Understand the main role play by the agricultural sector in the economic grow. Understand the main trends of the international agri-food markets. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: Know how to analyze the economic trend of the international agri-food system. Know how to apply the main basic economic and statistical analytical tools to the international agri-food trends. MAKING JUDGEMENTS: Students have to demonstrate - at the end of the course - that they have not only memorized the concepts but they have to be able to carry out an autonomous critical analysis of specific case studies. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: The preparation of a written report on a case study and its presentation aims at verifying the student's ability to communicate in written and oral terms effectively and with disciplinary lexicon properties the concepts learned during the course LEARNING SKILLS: At the end of the course, a student must demonstrate that he/she can apply the minimum knowledge and understanding descripted in this syllabus by conducting an independent study work on a case study.

Prerequisiti 

PREREQUISITES: A student must know the fundamentals of microeconomics, macroeconomics and statistics.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento 

Preparation of two written reports on a case study, agreed with the teacher, and oral presentation of the works. The guide Lines for report preparation will be explain by the teacher and will be made available on Moodle2 The course program and the exams above apply also to Erasmus students or participants in other international mobility projects. The final written and oral test has the aim to verify the following indicators: knowledge and understanding, applying knowledge and understanding, making judgments, learning skills, communication skills.
